To be of effective use to Counties and Agencies, and
therefore our children in care, please note the
following regarding the Child and Placement Matching
system:
- The system is intended for the use of public child
welfare, juvenile probation and children's mental
health agencies, and licensed private
agencies only. License status is verified upon
registration by checking the web site of
Community Care Licensing at the California
Department of Social Services.
- County staff should be aware of the system and
encouraged to use it frequently, to find the best
possible placement. Please reach out to your County
partners and let them know that it exists.
- The vacancies that agencies have listed must to be
kept up-to-date. It is easy to do from your agency
control panel. More on this below.
FOR LICENSED PRIVATE AGENCY STAFF - ACCESS IS SIMPLE:
If you are registering your agency for the first time
you will be its administrator. You can upload your
agency logo or photo, and manage all the users of your
agency, and all of its vacancies, from your
Administrator Control Panel.
Click
here for an Introductory Video.
If your agency is already registered just
register
yourself as a user, selecting your agency name from
the dropdown options. You can add new vacancies, and
edit or make inactive all the vacancies that you have
listed from your Placement Availability Control Panel.
Once you have registered, login and begin adding and
managing your vacancies.

-
CHARGES and PAYMENT:
In order to recover the costs of the system there is
a monthly fee of $10 for each vacancy listed
There is no cost for County users. When you add a
new vacancy you enter your credit card information
to activate it. We use the PayPal secure system to
process the payment. Your card is charged for each
month that the vacancy is active (enabled). To
cancel (disable) the vacancy and stop the charge
just click the link on your Control Panel. PayPal
will send you emails confirming each action. Once
established with them you will not
have to enter your information every time you add a
vacancy. We have no other
relationship with PayPal or its parent company Ebay.
-
VACANCY DETAILS:
We recommend adding "keywords" to your vacancy
listing. These are words that describe behavioral or
other challenges that the placement is prepared to
address, but not ones that are not accepted. For
example, you would use "Wheelchair accessible" rather
than "No wheelchair access", County staff will be
using keywords to find placements that meet some very
specific needs.
The system will retain all your vacancy information,
even if the placement has been made and you have
closed (disabled) the vacancy. Then if you need to
re-open (enable) it you do not have to enter the same
information again.
Don't forget to upload your agency logo or photo
from your agency administrator Control Panel. It
will appear at the top of each of your vacancy
pages.
